The Birthing (3)
I will haunt you until the end of your quick-time
my slow-time will meet your quick-time
and I will eat you
I will be everywhere at one time reminding you
the world is not for sale I am alive
and will fight you every second of my eternity
time is on my side, numbers are growing
yours is quick-time and you - burn yourself up
I am slow-time - all that has nature on it's side
I'll not eat at your tables of Frankenstein food
I'll not work in your child-slave-sweat-shops Nike
I'll not live in your mind-set of patenting nature
I'll not give credence to your audacity
shifting trillions in stock exchange gambles
where none trickles down to those in need
I'll not sit idly by while you steal
the sovereignty of small nations
I'll not let you steam-roll the ecology of this planet
and you'll not own it, I'll not let you
Where were you
when the birthing pulsed stars into the deep void
and we peopled the universe with magic matter
that will never look into eyes like yours ?
Where were you when the trees joined forces
and plotted to war forever on those
who know no respect for ancientness ?
Where were you when we shouted
'don't think it inevitable we'll become like you -
we'll never lay down with suits' ?
Where were you
when the dreamtime made the stories
and animals became, and rivers became
and mountains became, and the sky became
and the sun made us ?
Where were you
when steel towers pierced through the ozone
and tractor tyres ran crazy over deserts
and vapours poisoned the water ?
I'll not assist you, I'll not vote for you
nor spin-doctor with you
nor avoid answering questions like you
or ride in limos like you
or ignore your craven indifference
your power-crazy hyper ways
I'll not let your global economy
bottom line become mine
I'll not rape this earth with you
But I will haunt you 'til the end of your quick-time
my slow-time will meet your quick-time
and I will eat you
I will be everywhere at one time reminding you
the world is not for sale, I am alive
and will fight you every second of my eternity
time is on my side numbers are growing
yours is quick-time and you - burn yourself up
I am slow-time - all that has nature on its' side
